A green house ( also called a glass house or if with sufficient heating, a hot house) is a structure with walls and roof made chiefly of transparent material, such as glass, in which plants requiring regulated climatic conditions are grown. These structures range in size from small sheds to industrial-sized buildings. The interior of a green house exposed to sunlight becomes significantly warmer than the external ambient temperature, protecting its contents in extreme weather.
We have a Green House in our campus. It was established in the year 2013. Both the teachers and students bought various species of plants and planted them in the Green House. Many medicinal plants were also nourished in this Green house. Most often the students are taken there to water the plants.
We also also visited the Green House and watered the plants using mugs and sprinklers.
The basic aim of the students to visit the Green House was to see the effect of
extreme sunlight on the plants and learn the correct way of watering the plants without wasting water. The kids also developed a bond with the nature and friendship with plants. The value of love towards nature were strengthened.
